Witch Wound Healing

Witch Wound Healing

Have you ever you tried to make yourself small or hide your talents? Perhaps you have a fear of speaking your truth because it triggers anxiety or fear? Have you felt vulnerable when exploring an interest in herbs or crystals?

You may be suffering from a witch wound. A witch wound is a soul-based trauma that can be passed down through generations. Many women suffered from oppression and suppression for a variety of reasons and the repercussions of expressing these talents has been passed down through mother to child; generation after generation causing it to be lodged into a psychic collective wound.

If you’re any type of historian, you know that witch hunts occurred all over the globe. Women have been tortured, burned at the stake, and killed in numerous ways for beliefs that were not acceptable to the society’s standards. The persecuted ranged from being a mid-wife, herbalist, being too outspoken, or having red hair or moles on their skin.

Some of the behaviors from the wounded psyche can be identified by current beliefs or behaviors in this lifetime. The following are some ideas of how you are feeling the effects of generational witch wounds:

1. Women were forced to go into hiding or practice their art secretly. In current society, this can manifest as someone that is afraid to use her voice or being exposed in a group when the attention turns to you. Perhaps being uncomfortable with attention being turned toward you for your accomplishments. Receiving rewards publicly may trigger anxiety.

2. Witches, as mentioned above, were killed, and persecuted for a variety of reasons in very gruesome ways. Some of them were even turned in their family members! In current society, you may feel insecure or distrustful of your community or have difficulty making new friends. Perhaps you are more of an introvert and would rather stay home in your safe haven rather than going out to be under the watchful eye of strangers.

3. You may feel the need to self-sabotage any success because of a fear to succeed or make money from your talents. This is also known as imposter syndrome. This can be where making money from your interests or talents triggers fear that others will be confrontational about what you will charge for your readings or herb knowledge or even have trouble deciding what to charge for your original art.

Witch would healing can not only healing you but also future generations!
