Why 2020 is the Best Year to Build Your Council
Do you feel like this is your year? The year you finally make the right decisions, listen to your inner wisdom, and reach new levels of health, happiness, abundance, and success?
In numerology, 2020 translates into the number four. Four represents stability, trustworthiness, dependability, reliability, and order. It asks you to be practical and down to earth. In the tarot, the number four relates to the Emperor.
When we think of emperors, we think of rulers of ancient empires. Fair and benevolent emperors were often viewed as father figures who took care of the people in their kingdoms with strategy and patience. They were courageous in battle and knew that their victories were never achieved alone.
To rule a kingdom effectively, emperors needed councils. And, just like any good emperor, you need a council too. Success in your personal, work, financial, or spiritual life is rarely achieved alone. So, if 2020 is the year you want to bring it all together or to keep growing what you already have in place, you’ll need others to help you along your journey.
When you think of building an effective council, what immediately comes to mind? You may already have friends or family members that you consider part of your inner circle. You may also be seeking mentors or new personal connections to serve as touchstones when you have questions or face challenges.
Channeling your inner emperor may make you feel much like Frodo from Lord of the Rings. You’ll probably need some old friends, some new friends, a few brave souls, and someone who moonlights as a wizard to help you on your quest.
To be an effective leader, and become the emperor of your own life, ask yourself these five questions:
- In what areas of my life do I need council members?
- Who are the current members of my council that I value most and why?
- Who do I need to remove from my council and why?
- Who do I know that would be good replacements for council members I’ve removed?
- What is best for my kingdom and the good of all?
Surrounding yourself with people who bring different perspectives and gifts to the table will help you learn about yourself and make 2020 one of your best years ever. Who will your fellowship be, and how can you start taking steps right now to bring those people into your life?
