Take a Moment to Connect
Do you take time to connect and be present in your life? Do you build relationships with the energies that are trying to communicate with you?
Most spiritual practices and teachings include the elements of meditation, mindfulness, stillness, and being in the moment. Meditation is a technique that is used to develop your spiritual gifts, make connections with your spirit guides, and expand your consciousness to be more present in your life. This will require practice.
How much time do you spend in meditation each day? Mediations have been practiced for thousands of years. These practices will allow you to set aside specific time for you to connect within and with your spirit guides. Your spirit guides are providing messages throughout the day.
Resistance
There can be resistance to taking the time to connect. You may say:
- I am so busy
- I do not have time
- I have too much to do
During this time of the year, you will become distracted, and the activities of the holidays will pull us away. Take the time this year to hold space for connection with the people that you love and the energies supporting you daily. Be more conscious of your day and take time to pause.
Meditation
There are many different types of meditation. A meditation does not have to be sitting for long periods of time focusing your intention on your breath or a specific object. Meditations may be guided, mindfulness, mantra, Qi gong, Tai chi, and transcendental.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your awareness to the present moment. This practice allows the individual to become conscious of the physical. It includes connecting to your emotional, mental, and physical bodies.
When you take time to bring in deep clearing breaths and to become centered in your physical body, you can connect with all the sensations and energies around you. Most of the time, you are on auto-pilot and your subconscious is driving the actions and decisions that you are making in the moment.

- Brings in clarity and guidance
- Increases your awareness and consciousness
