Filling Your Energy Tank

1.21 Clearing Your Space

What are you doing to fill your energy tank every day, week, and/or month?

It is important to remember that you have a limited supply of time and energy every day. How you choose to use your time and energy is a choice.

Take some time to think about:

  • What are your current levels of energy?
  • What are you doing to refill your reserve tank?
  • What impacts or depletes your energy levels?

You are the master of your own life. Your choices have a direct impact on you, your life, and everyone in your life. Make sure that you are making good choices for yourself. It is important that you are setting healthy boundaries for yourself and that you allow yourself to say “No” when you want to reserve your energy for other things.

What are you doing to refill your energy tank?

Connections

Do you receive unconditional love through your connections? Do you have people or pets that allow you to feel connected?

Friends

Make sure that you have healthy relationships in your life. When you have these types of relationships, make sure to commit the time to keep them healthy and nurtured.

Pets

Pets can bring so much joy and unconditional love into your life. They love us no matter what and they live to spend time with us. Make sure you select a pet that fits your lifestyle. You do not want to commit to these relationships lightly. They deserve an owner that is ready to dedicate time and energy to the relationship and their care.

Community

You can connect with others in groups or communities with similar interests and passions. I really enjoy seeing people connect with each other in classes and events at the center. There are many long-term friendships that have been created through our in-person events and activities at the center.

Movement

Do you have ways to get moving or to move your physical body? Do you fill your energy tank by taking care of your body?

Yoga, Tai Chi, & others

These types of programs connect your physical body with your spiritual body. Moving the energy in your body can be powerful for your emotional, mental, and physical body. You may be able to find some online programs that fit perfectly into your life’s routine.

Exercising

Some individuals are dedicated to working out at the gym. They find that these commitments assist them in feeling better and having more energy. You can join a gym, health club, or exercise group. Many of these programs are offered online and you can participate from the comfort of your home.

Walking/Running

Creating a routine or exercise program that includes daily walks around the neighborhood or your favorite park can be uplifting and energizing for the soul and physical body. This is the perfect way to unplug from the daily world and to spend some time with yourself and the nature all around you.

Creativity

Do you have passions that allow you to be creative? Do you love working on projects? These can be energizing and inspirational. The practice of getting creative will bring in the energies of creation and manifestation.

  • Art, painting, and drawing
  • Crafting, sewing, and quilting
  • Woodworking, pottery, and ceramics
  • Photography, scrapbooking, & collecting

You can also get creative by redecorating your home or workspace. This is the perfect way to shift the energies in your life. Change the colors, textures, and décor of your space to create new flow and energy.

Nurturing

Make commitments to nurture and love yourself each week or month. This can bring in new energies of acceptance, love, and compassion for self. Think about some of these ideas:

  • Take a day once a month dedicated to you
  • Spend one day a month in your pj’s, sleep in late, watch movies, and enjoy your favorite snacks
  • Make plans to spend the day with someone you love and/or care about each week or month
  • Invest in self-care with massages, pedicures, manicures, etc.

What are you doing to fill your energy tank and reserves? What are you willing to commit to this year?

You are worth the investment, so take the time to love you this month and every month.
