How do you energetically protect your sacred space at home?
Many individuals in our spiritual and metaphysical community are invested in clearing the energies in their space, but they forget the importance of protecting their space as well. Your home should be your sacred sanctuary. It should be a safe place to heal, release, and energize. Energetic protection is important.

It can sometimes be difficult to create a sacred sanctuary when your home is filled with family members and/or friends staying with you. However, you should have a sacred space for yourself in your home. This can be your bedroom, office, or healing space.
Energetic Protection Suggestions:
- Take some deep cleansing breaths and release the energies of the day before entering the space.
- Set up a clearing station in your garage that allows you to smudge and clear the energies before entering the home. You can use a smudge stick, Palo Santo, or a clearing incense.
- Protect the front entrance from unwanted energy entering your space by hanging a Feng Shui Bagua mirror. These should be placed outside of the home OR hung facing the entrance. The mirror is a protective amulet in Feng Shui. The negative energies will be deflected away from the interior space. We carry these mirrors at the store.
- Place protective salt across the doorways and window seals of your home and space. Refresh it as needed. See recipe below.
- Strategically place black tourmaline crystals on the floor at the entrances to your space. Place these crystals at the front and back door. You should have them at the garage and sliding doors as well.
- If you are having visitors and guests, burn a clearing incense at the front door to clear their energy as they enter the space. I love to use Nag Champa incense for this practice.
- Place sacred geometry symbols at your entrance. They can be placed under the rugs or over the door. The symbols can be Pentagrams, the Star of David, or Metatron’s Cube. We carry several different types of gold-plated symbols at the store. (Find them at our center OR www.heartsforlove.com).
- You can place Archangel Michael statues in your space for protection.
- You can hang a Witch’s Ball in your window. The glass ball will capture negative energies from entering your space. We carry several sizes of them in our store.
Energetic Protection Salt Recipe
- 3 cups of Sea Salt
- ¼ cup of dried White Sage
- ¼ cup of dried Mugwort
- ¼ cup of Frankincense resin
- ¼ cup of dried red Roses
- 7 Black Tourmaline crystals
- 3 Amethyst crystals

ENERGETIC PROTECTION: ENERGY OF SPACE
Your space’s energies will be aligned with anyone spending time in the space. Both your home and work environments hold the energies being experienced within the space. The shows you watch, the music you listen to, and the games you play impact these energies. Everyone needs to cleanse their space on a regular basis. I recommend monthly clearing.
In addition to your regular clearings, you should clear your space when any of these experiences occur:
- Arguments and disagreements
- Anger and frustration
- Depression and anxiety
