Business Corner: Creating Sacredness with Your Business

As a spiritual business leader and owner, I have found that an important element of business is sacredness. What is sacredness? Sacredness is the dedication and devotion of holding divine space through respect, rituals and service. When we create sacredness in our business, we find that the universe will support us and our success.

The three main elements of any business is the PeopleProcesses, and the Product. How can you integrate sacredness into each of these elements?

PEOPLE

Your clients, customers and employees are an important element of your business.

Attracting the Right People

It is important to set your intentions on attracting the right people. The right clients, the right customers and the right employees. Make sure you have a clear idea on the types of clients, customers and employees that you want to work with. Are they seeking spiritual clarity and growth? Do they desire to have sacredness in their life?

Holding Sacred Space

When you are able to hold sacred space for them by being respectful, caring and compassionate about their well-being and connection to your business; you will create a more sacred relationship with each of them.

Some of the ways to do this is about having a high level of:

  • Integrity
  • Confidentiality
  • Service Delivery

Connection Through Sacredness

This is about connecting with your clients and customers through personal interactions and follow up. When was the last time that you received exceptional service? In today’s world, everyone is in such a hurry and they are trying to juggle a zillion tasks within their day. Businesses do not have the time to really connect with their clients and customers.

Sacredness is not about rushing through the process. It is about taking the time to be present in the moment when you work with your clients and holding space for them that is sacred and respectful. It is also about taking the next steps in connecting with them on a sacred level:

  • Following up with them by email after the session or purchase
  • Sending a text message to check in on them or to stay connected
  • Mailing a thank you card to them

Be the Sacredness

Make sure that you are present and showing up as the divine sacred being that you were born to be. Honor yourself and your body with the highest level of thoughts, words and actions. Treat yourself with care, compassion and respect.

We can bring in sacredness as connection with people through our clients, customers and employees. Take time to be caring, compassionate and respectful instead of basing your decisions only on the bottom line. Honor your sacredness and the sacredness of others as you share your gifts with others.

PROCESSES

The next step is to set the processes for your business. You can build the foundation of your business by creating sacred rituals and processes that support your products and services as well as your clients, customers and employees.

Sometimes the spiritual community believes that because they are spiritual that they do not have to build their business with structure and consistency. That is not true. The Tibetan monks are dedicated to their rituals and they have structure in their work. Their commitment is amazing! You need to have the same structure and commitment in your business rituals and processes.

Sacred Rituals

You can create sacred rituals for your business. Some of these may include:

  • Morning meditations to gain clarity and guidance for your business
  • Morning routines to set the intentions for the day and business
  • Daily clearings, shields of protection and setting space
  • Daily routines of disconnecting from the business that allow yourself to have personal freedom for a healthy balance in your life.

As a spiritual being, you have tools that will provide you clarity, direction and focus in your work. These tools assist in with your dedication and commitment to being consistent with your rituals. When you start your day on the right foot, the rest of the day is so much easier.

PRODUCT

The last step is to have sacred products and/or services. Your business may be a product, service or both. How can you ensure that your products and services are sacred? What can you control within your business?

Products

The products may be items that you have made or created yourself OR products that you have purchased to sell within your business. You can review the methods and processes of how the products were created as well as being selective in the products purchased for your business. For example: The palm wax that we use in our Sacred Candle workshops are processed through an agreement set with a group of farmers to not damage the environment or to abuse human labor. It was important to us to have a product that we could offer in a sacred space.

When you are creating and/or making products for your business examine the materials, research the processes and ingredients involved, and be intentional when creating any products. When we take the time to consider the products and processes, we can provide something at a higher vibration.

Services

How can you set your service apart from your competition? If you take the time to create a sacred space for the services that you provide, you will be able to provide at a higher level of service than you competitors. Your clients and customers will feel the difference and that will motivate them to return.

Set Sacred Space

Take the time to set a beautiful and sacred space to support you and your clients. Keep it clear, clean and open. Make sure the space allows the energy to flow freely throughout the space. Bring in sacred objects into your space. A sacred object does not have to be expensive. It only needs to be loved and sacred to you.

Some things to consider for your space include:

  • Fresh Flowers
  • Candles
  • Crystals and rocks
  • Art and photos
  • Diffusing essential oils
  • Music

The space should be filled with the things that you love. This love will spread throughout the space and create a sacred space for your clients or customers as well.

Take the time to bring sacredness into your business and work. See the difference that it can make for you and everyone you connect with. May you be blessed with a sacred life of joy, happiness and abundance.
