Dawn has a degree in Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. She was born in Florida but grew up in Pennsylvania and has called both California and Colorado home in her adult life.
She recently retired from a career in higher education at Arapahoe Community College, teaching college resource classes and as the Director of Testing Services. She was recognized as Administrator of the Year by her peers and has served as President of the Rocky Mountain College Testing Association for several terms. She continues to work at ACC on Special Projects
Her earlier career was with Junior Achievement of Southern California as Vice President of Educational Services and ran the 2nd largest program in the country covering five counties.
She has also served as Auxiliary Vice President for VFW Post 9644 where she is a life member.
She is a certified Sound and Vibrational Therapy Practitioner and uses crystal and Himalayan sound bowls, drums, chimes and tuning forks in her work. She recently completed Angelic Reiki 1 & 2 with DYSG. She is an avid painter and creative in many areas. She is a believer/user of plant medicines as part of her personal healing journey and has benefited from these modalities greatly by journeying to Iquitos, Peru and the Yucatan jungle in Mexico to work with practitioners from the Shipibo Tribe traditions.
Dawn has been married for 38 years to her husband Stan and they are the parents of four children and are blessed with 4, soon to be 5, grandchildren.
In her “spare time”, she loves to read, travel, create and play with her grandchildren.
