Discover Your Spiritual Gifts is a collaborative spiritual community created to support learning, healing, connection, and personal growth. Our Volunteer Program provides meaningful opportunities for individuals who feel called to be in service and want to contribute their time and talents to a welcoming, heart-centered community.

Volunteers play an important role in helping us care for our sacred spaces, prepare for classes and special events, support community programs, and complete many of the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our center organized and inviting. Every act of service—whether large or small—helps us continue creating meaningful experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.

Volunteer opportunities are available for adults, community members, and school students completing required service hours. Tasks vary throughout the year, allowing volunteers to select opportunities that fit their interests, abilities, and availability.

WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED?

Volunteers should be dependable, arrive at the agreed-upon time, follow instructions, and treat our sacred spaces and materials with care. Some opportunities may involve standing, light lifting, organizing supplies, or using a step stool or ladder; the physical requirements will be clearly communicated before each assignment.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

STOCKING THE APOTHECARY

Every Quarter - Saturdays 10 AM - !2 PM

Taking everything off the shelves and wiping them down. Refilling and alphabetizing the herb jar. Refilling and stocking the salts, and dried goods. Consolidating the essential oils. (In-person project).

FOLDING & ORGANIZING TABLECLOTHS

Every Quarter - Sunday 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

The tablecloths tend to get unfolded and disorganized over time. I would love to have someone come in and fold and organize them neatly in the cabinet. (In-person project).

LIGHT DUSTING & CLEANING

Every Other Month: Fridays 1 PM - 2:30 PM

You will be wiping down and dusting the rooms and classrooms in the center. Keeping the center tidy and clean. You will be wiping off the tops of the pictures and art on the wall.

WHEEL OF THE YEAR: SETTING ALTARS

Thursdays 4 PM

Carefully pack away the current Wheel of the Year altar items and seasonal decorations in the Temple Classroom. Assist with unpacking, arranging, and hanging decorations for the next seasonal celebration. (In-person project)

PSYCHIC & ENERGY HEALER FAIR GREETER

January, August & October

Welcome guests as they arrive, collect admission fees, answer basic questions, and help direct visitors throughout the center. Greeters may also ask guests how they heard about the fair and record their responses. ( 3 hour shifts, In-person project: 9 AM, 12 PM & 3 PM)

January, August & October

Help set up lunch for the participating readers, healers, and team members. After lunch, clean and organize the conference room and return remaining supplies to their proper locations. We set out lunch at 11:30 AM and Clean up at 2:00 PM. (In-person project)

SETTING UP CLASSROOM TO MAKE CANDLES

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 12 AM - 2 PM

We will be setting up the Temple Classroom to make candles in the afternoon. The stations will be set for each of the intentions. This task will include lifting and moving equipment and tools for making the candles.

CHRISTMAS TREE & CENTER DECORATING

Friday, November 13, 2026

Assist with decorating the Christmas tree in the Angel Classroom. Volunteers will carefully unpack, arrange, and hang ornaments before organizing and storing the empty containers. Help transform the center for the holiday season by unpacking and arranging decorations throughout the designated spaces. This may include hanging lightweight decorations from the Temple Classroom ceiling. (In-person project)

CHRISTMAS CARD PREP

Pick up by Friday, November 6th

Help prepare the center’s Christmas cards by addressing envelopes, applying stamps, and organizing the completed cards for mailing. Attention to detail and clear handwriting are especially helpful for this opportunity. (At home project)

MAKING CANDLES FOR STORE

Wednesday, January 6th, 2027 at 3 PM - 5 PM

You will be assisting Vialet with making intention candles for the store. The stations will be set with herbs, crystal chips, charms and essential oils. It is important to hold the intention for each of the candles as you make them.

PACKAGING THE CANDLES FOR THE STORE

Thursday, January 7th, 2027 at 2 PM - 3:30 PM

You will be trimming the wicks. The candles have stickers for the bottom of the jar. You will package the candles with a postcard and tie the bag with a ribbon. The candles will be priced and stocked in the store.
