The Britannica dictionary defines magic as a concept used to describe a mode of rationality or way of thinking that looks to invisible forces to influence events, effect change in material conditions, or present the illusion of change. I am not discussing the magic that a magician does on the stage using illusions.
I spent many years in the church through various religious organizations and belief systems. As a young teenager, it was difficult to imagine that God would segregate his people into different beliefs. Why would he create such friction among the people that he loved? You see, I have always seen God as pure love and acceptance. The fear that was created within organizations and groups was difficult to understand. I truly wanted to be guided by his wisdom and not the doctrine created through human understanding.
The first time that I encountered a teacher discussing magic, I strongly felt the fear that came up within me. I had to really spend some time with that emotional and physical reaction to the word, magic. What was magic to me? The first images that came into my mind were individuals creating magic to control and harm others. I did not want any part of that type of magic. I strongly believe that we have a sovereign responsibility to be accountable for our own words, thoughts, and actions. The Universe is governed by the law of “free will.” I do not have the authority or the right to make decisions for someone else. I fully understand that karma comes from this type of magic.
I had to really sit with the word, magic. What was my definition of magic in the light of the Divine? If we step into the perspective of science, there are numerous things that we still cannot explain or understand on our planet. The scientists continue to discover new findings in the Quantum Field. We are all energetically connected and everyone influences the Collective Consciousness. Are these a creation of the Divine, Creator, God, Universe, Source, etc.?
What about the magic weaved throughout the movies of our childhood? “Mirror, mirror, mirror on the wall…” There were so many great teachings in those movies that we took for granted. Magic is a critical part of the universe. The magic that moves through us and our lives from the Creator. I am a believer in magic. I also believe in responsibility and integrity in what I do and teach.
You are a magical creator. You have a sovereign responsibility for how you live your life. You get to choose the type of life that you want to experience today, tomorrow, and forever. The choices you make create the your experiences.

- Do you guard against thoughts, words, and actions that cause harm to others?
This is the magic of life. This is the magic of living the BEST life possible in this experience.
